Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of LifeLoad's services, including the desktop application, website, and API (the "Services"). By accessing or using the Services, you confirm that you have read, understand, and agree to be bound by these Terms. "LifeLoad", "we", "our", and "us" refers to LifeLoad, Inc. "You" and "your" means you as a user of the Services.

Please review our Privacy Policy for information on how we collect and use data relating to the use of our Services.

Eligibility

The Services are not intended for anyone under the age of 16 or under the applicable age of majority in your jurisdiction. By using the Services, you represent that you meet these requirements.

Your Account

You may need to create an account to use the Services. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must not share your credentials or allow others to access your account.

Use of the Services

You agree that you will not:

  • Use the Services in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Services or related systems
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Services
  • Scrape, crawl, or spider any content from the Services
  • Interfere with the proper functioning of the Services or place unreasonable load on our infrastructure
  • Use the Services to transmit harmful, fraudulent, or misleading content
  • Share your account credentials or allow unauthorized access to your account

A violation of any of the foregoing is grounds for termination of your right to use the Services.

Calendar and Meeting Data

LifeLoad accesses your calendar data to provide cognitive load scoring, meeting analytics, and AI insights. You grant LifeLoad permission to access, process, and store calendar event metadata (titles, times, durations, attendees) for the purpose of delivering the Services. LifeLoad detects active calls across platforms (Zoom, Teams, Meet, and others) at the system level on your Mac to identify unscheduled meetings.

Cognitive Load Data and AI Features

LifeLoad collects self reported meeting ratings and derives cognitive load scores, burnout trajectories, and AI-generated insights. AI-generated insights are provided for informational purposes only and should not be treated as medical, psychological, or professional advice. You acknowledge that cognitive load scores and burnout predictions are estimates based on available data.

Enterprise and Organization Use

If you access the Services through an organization ("Customer"), the Customer may manage your account, configure settings, and access anonymized, aggregate team-level data. Individual calendar details and personal ratings are never shared with the Customer. The Customer is responsible for informing you of any applicable policies and obtaining necessary consents.

Subscriptions and Payments

Certain features of the Services require a paid subscription. Payment is processed by Stripe, Inc. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis. You may cancel your subscription at any time through the app or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

Intellectual Property

The Services, including all software, design, content, and trademarks, are owned by LifeLoad or its licensors. You retain ownership of your data. By using the Services, you grant LifeLoad a limited license to process your data solely for the purpose of providing the Services to you.

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. LIFELOAD MAKES NO REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, REGARDING THE SERVICES, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT WILL LIFELOAD BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY. LIFELOAD'S MAXIMUM AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICES IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO LIFELOAD IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time if we believe you have violated these Terms. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Services ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the Services. Continued use of LifeLoad after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms will be resolved in the courts located in California.
